Arjun Bijlani

Arjun Bijlani (born October 31, 1982) is an Indian actor well known for his work in Hindi television and reality shows. Bijlani made his television debut on Hungama TV with Ekta Kapoor's show named Kartika. After that, he proved himself as a leading celebrity by appearing in popular shows such as Left Right Left, Miley Jab Hum Tum, Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil, Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi, Naagin, Kavach, and Ishq Mein Marjawan. On the non-fictional front, he has appeared in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9, Smart Jodi, and hosted Dance Deewane.

In 2016, Arjun's debut Bollywood film 'Direct Ishq' was released. In 2020, he made his digital debut on ZEE5 with the State Of Siege web series. In 2021, he competed in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 and was crowned winner. Later that year, he began filming for another web series, Roohaniyat, which premiered on MX Player in 2022.

Early life

Arjun Bijlani was born in Bombay, Maharashtra, on October 31, 1982, to a Sindhi father and a Maharashtrian mother. He went to Bombay Scottish School in Mahim and H.R. College of Commerce and Economics for his education and college. He has a younger brother, Niranjan Bijlani. His father, Sudarshan Bijlani, died when he was nineteen years old.

Personal life

On May 20, 2013, Bijlani married to his long-time partner, Neha Swami. They welcomed their first son named as Ayaan Bijlani, on January 21, 2015.

Career

Arjun began his television career in 2004 with the 'Balaji Telefilms' youth-oriented series Kartika, where he co-starred alongside Jennifer Winget. He played Ankush as Kartika's love interest. Bijlani appeared as Vikram in another youth television show called 'Remix' in 2005. As Cadet Aalekh Sharma in the action-drama Left Right Left, Bijlani had his first notable appearance. In Deepti Bhatnagar's period drama' Mohe Rang De' in 2008, he played Sanjay, an affluent, fun-loving guy. He co-starred in the romantic youth show Miley Jab Hum Tum with Rati Pandey, Sanaya Irani, and Mohit Sehgal in the same year.

He also played Mayank Sharma, a nerd who falls in love with a carefree girl. This was his debut show as a leading actor by which he got much attention. The show ended on November 19, 2010. His next television project was NDTV Imagine's Pardes Mein Mila Koi Apna, where he co-starred with Bhavna Khatri. In the show, he played Chandrakant Bhosale. In November 2022, he took over as host of the 14th season of MTV Splitsvilla, replacing Rannvijay Singha.
