CATO Conferences

Participants will learn, be inspired, and get a special chance to connect with their peers at this uplifting event. The 2024 CATO Conference will take place on September 29th, in San Diego. CATO Awards Nominations

Award Recognition: To recognize law enforcement officials for outstanding acts of service rendered the year prior, CATO takes nominations for its renowned awards each year.

  • Award Presentation: During the yearly CATO Training Conference, the winners of these awards receive a formal presentation.
  • Eligibility Period: Incidents that took place between June 1, 2022, and June 1, 2023, are eligible for the 2023 CATO Awards.
  • Requirements for Nomination:
    1. Candidates must be current CATO members.
    2. The name, organization, and specific justification for the nomination must be included with the submission.
    3. For each nomination of an award, precise information on the jurisdiction, agencies, and dates of the remarkable activities carried out by the officer is required.
  • Instructions for Nomination:
    1. To view the nomination form, click the title of the award.
    2. Examine the criteria for the award and fill out the nomination form appropriately.
    3. Please submit the nomination application by October 30th, 2023, at the latest.
