Cha Eun Woo

Lee Dong-min, a South Korean singer, actor, and model, goes as Cha Eun-woo. He is a member of the six-person K-pop group "Astro," which was founded by the talent agency and label "Fantagio." In 2016, the well-known boy band made their debut with the song "Hide & Seek," taken from their E.P. "Spring Up." After that, "Billboard" placed them among the top new K-pop acts of the year. Childhood and Early Life

On March 30, 1997, Lee Dong-min, the father of Cha Eun-woo, was born in Gunpo, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. After completing his education at "Neungnae Elementary School," he proceeded to "Suri Middle School" and "Suri High School." He had attended a Philippine elementary school as well.
He studied at the "Hanlim Multi Art School" from 2013 to 2016 and earned a degree in entertainment and broadcasting. During his last years, Cha captained the basketball team and served as class president.
Eun-woo made an appearance on "Golden Bell Challenge!" the KBS high school quiz show when she was at Hanlim. This made him well-known even before he made his idol debut; the "Koreaboo" community called him "Hanlim Yeungnam."
At a school carnival, a "Fantagio" manager saw Cha. Then, he was presented with a contract, which he first turned down. But the talent scouts didn't give up and ultimately convinced him and his parents to allow Eun-woo to join the agency as a trainee.
Along with bandmate Moon Bin, he took part in "Mr. Pizza's iTeen Audition for Promotional Model" in 2013, and the two were ultimately selected for the position. A few months later, he starred with future bandmates Moon Bin, Rocky, and Jinjin in the "KBS" news program "Hallyu Star Gangnam Style: Trainee Interview."

Career

2013-2015: The Start of a Career

In 2014, Cha made her acting debut in the movie My Brilliant Life in a small part. He was the fourth trainee to get the Fantagio iTeen Photo Test Cut in an official capacity. Cha and the other Astro members took part in the online drama To Be Continued in August 2015.

2016-present: Solo Endeavors, Debut with Astro, and Growing Notoriety

On February 23, 2016, Astro made her debut with the E.P. Spring Up. Cha took part in the Replies That Make Us Flutter special variety show during Chuseok in August. He took part in Boomshakalaka, another Chuseok trial initiative, in September.

It was reported that Cha will co-host Show! Music Core from 2016 to 2018 with Kim Sae-Ron, Lee Soo-min, and Xiyeon. He was also a cast member of the online drama My Romantic Some Recipe in 2016.

Cha debuted in the online drama Sweet Revenge and was cast in the KBS2 drama Hit the Top in 2017.

Cha appeared in the online series Top Management in 2018. Later, he was given his first main role on television in the romantic comedy series Gangnam Beauty on J.T.B.C. Following the series premiere, he saw an increase in popularity and was named G.Q. Korea's "Men of the Year."

Alongside Shin Se-kyung, Cha was featured in the historical drama Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung in 2019. At the M.B.C. Drama Awards, he received the Best Actor and Best Couple Awards with Shin, portraying a royal prince who turned into a romance author. He joined Joy, Lee Sang-Yoon, Yoo Seon-ho, and Seo Jang-hoon as a cast member of the new variety program Handsome Tigers, which was revealed in December.

The official soundtrack of the drama A Good Day To Be A Dog included a version of "Jealousy," originally performed by Yoo Seung-beam, which Cha released on October 18. At the 2016 M.B.C. Entertainment Awards, he was nominated for "Best Newcomer" in the "Music/Talk Show" and "Show/Sitcom" categories.

He went on to say that "intelligent, wise, and curious" would describe his dream female. He went on, "I want to date someone after we just kind of fell in love."

"Butt-min" and "Morning Alarm" are just two of the many monikers bestowed upon him by his fellow musicians (due to his propensity for rising early and waking everyone else up).
