Chirag PaswanIntroductionChirag Paswan is a politician from India. He is a member of the Lok Janshakti Party. He comes from a political family and is the son of a Member of Parliament and Union Minister, Ram Vilas Paswan. He is currently the MP of LJP Jamui. In 2014, he was elected to the 16th Lok Sabha. Before stepping into politics, he attempted to make a name for himself in Bollywood, but it did not go well. In addition to serving as a Member of Parliament and promoting significant social and economic issues, he is well known for his captivating personality. Early DaysChirag Paswan was born in Khagaria, Bihar, on October 31, 1982. In 2003, he attended the National Institute of Open Schooling, Government of India. Chirag holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science. In 2005, he graduated with honors from the Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jhansi. Chirag Paswan is the son of former Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan, the leader of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), who represents Jamui in the Lok Sabha. Chirag Paswan made his acting debut in the 2011 film 'Miley Naa Miley Hum'. After completion, the film was released on November 4, 2011. Chirag Paswan, Kangana Ranaut, Neeru Bajwa, Sagarica Ghatge, and Tanya Abrol played key parts in this film. Chirag was nominated for the film at the Stardust Awards in the superstar's category. However, the film was a flop. As a result, his film career came to an end. Because of Paswan's amazing appearance and likable demeanor, he might have easily gained a large following if he had stayed in Bollywood and worked on a few more films. When he was serious about his film career, he avoided political circles and never even visited his birthplace of Bihar. However, since the movie was bombed, he never searched for another opportunity. Chirag Paswan's career nearly resembled the Shahid Kapoor film Phata Poster Nikhla Hero. It's possible that he aspired to both success and to become a handsome hero. For him, collaborating with Kangna was an unforgettable experience. In the movie, he portrayed a tennis player who had trained for over eight months to hone his acting body language. When Chirag made his hero debut, he was a fan of Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor. His demeanour and even his presence have changed throughout the years. He returned to his hometown to serve as a Lok Sabha representative. As the newest member of the Lok Sabha, he is gradually assuming the role of a legislator and tackling issues related to his community. Political CareerThe 2020 Assembly elections were Chirag's first true litmus test for two reasons. For starters, he was in the field for the first time without his father. Second, with the LJP having officially withdrawn from the NDA partnership in Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave no direct approval. Chirag Paswan's father had a background in politics; thus, he was easy to spot. Chirag was elected the Lok Janshakti Party's candidate in the 2014 Lok Sabha election. He won the election by an overwhelming 85,000 votes over Sudhanshu Shekhar Bhaskar, the candidate of his opponent's party. Similarly, with 528771 votes, he defeated the opposing candidate Bhudev Chaudhary in the 2019 election. Chirag founded the "Chirag ka Rojgar" organisation while serving in politics. Its goal is to give jobs to the youth unemployment rate in the state of Bihar. Additionally, there is another group known as the "Chirag Paswan Foundation." In May 2014, Paswan was elected for the first time to the Lok Sabha. The Standing Committee on Health and Family Welfare, the Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, the Committee on Member of Parliament Local Area Development Schemes (MPLADS), the Standing Committee on Science & Technology, Environment & Forests, the Joint Committee on the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition Rehabilitation and Resettlement Bill, and the Joint Committee on the Enforcement of Security Interest and Recovery of Debts Laws and Miscellaneous Provision (Amendment Bill, 2016) were among the committees Chirag Paswan served on during his first term. Chirag Paswan was also named chairman of Jamui, Bihar's Vigilance & Monitoring Cell during this period. In May 2019, he was re-elected to the Lok Sabha from the Jamui constituency for a second term. He was placed in charge of the General Purposes Committee of the Lok Sabha, the Standing Committee on Industry and Law and Justice during his second tenure. Following the demise of his father in October 2020, Paswan was appointed national president of the LJP. Some Unknown FactsPashupati Kumar Paras, Chirag's uncle, has been an obstruction in Chirag's life, who owes everything to his late elder brother, including his upbringing and political career. Ram Vilas was already facing accusations of turning the LJP into his family's pocket borough before Chirag entered politics. He was well-known for having a deep weakness for Pashupati and Ramchandra Paswan, his younger brothers. However, politics has long been associated with cunning and brutality. Four LJP MPs, including Prince, Veena Devi (Vaishali), and Mehboob Ali Kaiser, left Chirag alone. When the Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla met with five of the six Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) MPs on June 13, 2020, they requested that Pashupati Kumar Paras, the younger brother of Ram Vilas Paswan, be acknowledged as the party's new leader. The Lok Sabha secretariat had recognized Paras as the LJP's new leader. The move effectively removed Chirag Paswan from the leadership of the party he led since his father, Ram Vilas Paswan's death in October 2020. Chirag attempted damage management by paying a visit to his uncle's house and offering to relinquish the position of LJP chief in favour of his mother, Reena Paswan. He had to return empty-handed after over 90 minutes of waiting for his uncle. There was barely any concealment in the party of the simmering animosity between Uncle Paras and nephew Chirag. Chirag Paswan, a smooth-talking, gentrified man, had once made a short effort at a Bollywood career and never felt comfortable around his uncle. An establishment politician, Pashupati Nath Paras held the position of second in command inside the LJP until Chirag's ascent to power in the 2014 Lok Sabha election upended the party's hierarchy. Chirag's undoing in 2020 also stemmed from his unwavering obsession with challenging Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The LJP, which was a part of the NDA until a few weeks before the assembly election in Bihar in 2020, broke out and began opposing Nitish on their own. The LJP then fielded candidates in every seat that the JD(U) ran for, diluting Nitish's party's vote share. Leaders of JD(U) privately blamed Chirag for their party's dismal showing in the assembly poll, which saw it drop to second place in the NDA coalition for the first time. Out of the 115 seats it ran for in the 243-member House, the JD(U) only secured 43. Of the 110 seats, the BJP won 74. Out of the 143 seats it ran for, the LJP only managed to win one. Following his father's passing, Chirag persisted in his anti-Nitish rant and relentlessly campaigned against the JD(U). Subsequently, Uncle Paras made weak sounds in support of Nitish, but Chirag and his friends quickly subdued him. Paras was forced to retreat at that time, but in June, he made a comeback. The LJP group led by Chirag dismissed the five MPs from the party's main membership on June 15, the day after he was seen on television blowing his car horn and waiting in vain in front of his uncle's locked gates. Additionally, Chirag posted a previous letter he had sent to "Adarniya Chachaji" outlining his disagreements with Paras. ConclusionThus, Chirag Paswan, a versatile Indian figure, has left a trail in politics, modelling, and acting. Paswan, being born in the small state of Bihar, has made a big impact on the Indian political landscape. Next TopicConan doyle |
