What is the full form of CVCCVC: Central Vigilance CommissionCVC stands for Central Vigilance Commission. It is an apex body of Indian Government which is created to address corruption in government departments. It was established in 1964 through the Government of India Resolution of 11.02.1964. It is an autonomous body which is free of control from any executive authority and has the power to monitor all vigilance activity under the government of India. It also advises and guides central government agencies in planning, executing and reviewing their vigilance work. It is headquartered in New Delhi, India. The Commission consists of a chairperson (central vigilance commissioner) and two vigilance commissioners (members). Mr. K.V. Chowdary is the current chairperson or Central Vigilance Commissioner. The other two vigilance commissioners are Mr. Rajiv and Shri T.M. Bhasin. The logo of the commission is desingend by the famous Graphic Designer, Shri Binoy Sarkar ( an alumni of Yale University, USA). It comprises an eye encased within letter C. The blue color of eye represnts the collective determination of the community to be vigilant against the illegal or inappropriate actions of the public servants.
