On June 21, 1985, Elizabeth Woolridge Grant was born in Manhattan, New York City. Her parents are Robert England Grant and Patricia Ann 'Pat.' Patricia Ann 'Pat' was an account executive at Grey Group, and Robert England Grant Jr. was a copywriter. She has a younger brother named Charlie Grant and a younger sister named Caroline "Chuck" Grant.
She was raised in Lake Placid, New York, and went to a Catholic elementary school. When she was younger, she developed an interest in music and joined the church choir. She composed country music as well. Due to her severe alcoholism as a teenager, her parents were forced to put her in "Kent School," where her uncle served as an admissions officer.
