About Nivetha Thomas

Nivetha Thomas, a popular Indian actress, was born on 2nd November 1995 in Kannur (Or Cannanore), Kerala, India. She mostly appears in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam Language films. She initially worked as a child actress. She debuted herself in movies in 2008, when she was a child. In 2008, she performed as a child actress in the film 'Veruthe Oru Bharya'. After her first movie, she won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist. She won the award for best acting as a child.

Nivetha's roots are connected to Edoor village located in Iritty taluk, Kerala. She had completed her schooling at Holy Angels and Montfort Matriculation School located in Chennai. After twelfth, Nivetha applied for a Bachelor of Architecture from SRM University. Nivetha was one of the intelligent students in school and she now knows six languages such as Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, French, Tamil, and English. Thus, Nivetha is undoubtedly a multi-talented personality.

Career

As we discussed, Nivetha started her career as a child actress. She started her career by acting in TV serials, and initially, she appeared in a popular serial 'My Dear Bootham'. Then, she appeared in the film 'Veruthe Oru Bharya' where she played the role of Jayaram's daughter, where her acting was liked and appreciated a lot. Nivetha gained a lot of popularity after acting in this movie. After her first movie, she got many opportunities to act in various Tamil and Malayalam films. In Tamil and Malayalam movies, Nivetha mostly played supporting roles. After that, she had some Malayalam projects such as Chaappa Kurish and Thattathin Marayathu.

Then in 2011, she played the role of Tamizhselvi, a petrol bunk employee, in the movie 'Poraali', which was directed by Samuthirakani. Nivetha had also worked with Samuthirakani in the drama series 'Arasi' previously. Hence, the movie was a great opportunity for Nivetha where she played a good role as an actress.

In 2013, Nivetha acted in 'Romans', which became a great successful movie and was titled 'Blockbuster' by Sify.com. Gradually, Nivetha became popular based on her talent. Then, she got the role of Mahalakshmi in the movie 'Jilla'. In the movie, the character Mahalakshmi is very close to the men of the family, her brothers and father. The role of father and brother was played by Vijay and Mahath. Nivetha's role as Mahalakshmi was an important character in the movie. Her role in the movie as Mahalakshmi was the role of a strong-willed girl who supported her brother in every phase of the movie in a positive way. Nivetha got appreciation from the side of viewers for her great acting.

Nivetha signed the movie 'Juliet Lover of Idiot', which was directed by Ajay Vodhirala, and it was her first Telugu movie. In this movie, she played the role of Kamal Haasan's eldest daughter. The movie was the remake of Drishyam movie which was titled 'Papanasam', and in this movie, her performance was appreciated a lot.

In 2016, Nivetha Thomas debuted in Telugu Cinema. He was presented in the movie 'Gentleman', as the opposition to 'Nani'. In the movie, her performance was critically analyzed. Later, Thomas was rewarded with some awards as well, such as the SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut in Telugu and the Filmfare Award for Best Actress Telugu. Through this film debut, Nivetha Thomas earned a lot of popularity in Telugu Cinema. Then in 2017, her next Telugu film 'Ninnu Khori' was released, and there again, Nivetha's role was opposite Nani. Her acting in this movie received positive reviews, and her performance was praised a lot. In the movie, she played the role of 'Pallavi'. The movie helped her receive the second Filmfare Award for Telugu. Nivetha Thomas was nominated for the 65th Filmfare Awards South as well.

Nivetha's next movie, which was released in 2017, was 'Jai Lava Kusa', where she was presented opposite Jr. NTR; it was one of the top movies that became successful economically. Nivetha's last movie of 2017 was 'Juliet Lover of Idiot', where she was presented opposite Naveen Chandra, an actor in Telugu films. The movie was delayed to release and after the release, the movie became a commercial loss at the box office, which was a bit devastating for Nivetha.

In October 2018, Nivetha signed a romantic drama called 'Swaasa' where her co-star was Nikhil Siddharth. Then in 2019, she again came back as the best performer. An action thriller, '118' was released in 2019 where Nivetha performed the role opposite Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. This movie was also critically analyzed and proved impressive for critics, and Nivetha's performance was once again appreciated a lot.

After some time, she tried acting in Black comedy films. The film 'Brochevarevarura' was released in 2019, where she presented her role opposite Sree Vishnu. Her trial was successful and the movie got good reviews. Nivetha played the role of 'Mitra', an underperformer student in studies who desired to become a classical dancer. Overall, the film was a hit at the box office because of factors such as Nivetha's performance.

In 2020, Nivetha played the role of a daughter in the movie 'Darbar'. She started acting in action-thrillers as well. In 2021, Telugu Cinema presented the remake of a Bollywood movie 'Pink', where Nivetha was featured as Vakeel Saab. Nivetha acted in Sudheer Verma's film 'Saakini Daakini', which was the Telugu remake of the Korean film 'Midnight Runners'. Her latest movie released in Telugu Cinema in 2023 was Enthada Saji, where Nivetha played the role of Sajimol Thomas.

Nivetha Thomas won many awards throughout her career. She was nominated for the most prestigious awards in the film industry for her great performance most of the time. In 2008, Nivetha was awarded the Kerala State Film award for the category of best child actress, as she did very good acting in the film 'Veruthe Oru Bharya'. She won the 6th SIIMA award in 2017, for the category of best Female Debut (Telugu) for the movie 'Gentleman'. Then, the TSR-TV9 award was given for the category of best debut heroine, for the movie 'Gentleman'. Nivetha was nominated for the 64th Filmfare Awards South for the category of best actress Telugu, and then in 2017, she was nominated for Zee Telugu Golden Awards for the category of Entertainer of the Year Female. This nomination was for the movies named 'Ninnu Kori' and 'Jai Lava Kusa'. In 2018, Nivetha won the Apsara Awards for the category of best performer of the year for the movie 'Jai Lava Kusa'. Then, Nivetha was nominated for the 65th Filmfare Awards South for the category of Best Actress Telugu.

Nivetha is one of the most beautiful actors in Telugu Cinema. She is not only good-looking but considered a good personality as well. Nivetha's height is around 5 feet or 152cm. By weight, she is roughly 52kg and her body measurement is 33-26-34. Her hair and her eyes are both black.
