Shafaq Naaz is an actress, model, and a well-known dancer. She is popular for her role as Kunti in the popular television serial Mahabharat, and she is also popular for the role of Mayuri in a popular comedy serial Chidya Ghar that is cast on Sony Sab channel.

She also appeared in the movie "Guest iin London" in 2017, where she played the role of Sherry. She debuted in a web series in 2019 with Halala, where she starred alongside Ravi Bhatia.

Early Life

Shafaq Naaz was born and brought up in Kota, Rajasthan, India. She was born into a Muslim family and spent most of her childhood in Meerut. When she was in school, she started learning dancing and acting, and she loved to dance and participate in various competitions and events held at school.

Education

Shafaq Naaz studied up to 12th grade at St. Thomas English Medium School in Meerut. She wanted to become a doctor when she was a kid, while her sister wanted to become a businesswoman. Shafaq also learned Kathak dance from Saroj Khan's Dance Academy.

She was also good at studies, and she pursued her higher education as well. After that, her aim was clear. She wanted to become an actress, so she started focusing on her acting and dancing skills. She joined the theatre group and participated in various theatre events and shows.

Shafaq Naaz's parents divorced when she was very young. She grew up in her grandmother's house in Mohalla Shakur Nagar, Lisari Road, Meerut. Her mother's name is Kahkansha Naaz. Shafaq has two brothers, Sheejan and Saabir, and an elder sister, Falaq Naaz. Falaq Naaz is a TV actress who has acted in shows like "Adaalat" and "Sarural Simar Ka". His father's name is still not revealed publicly.

Career

Shafaq Naaz started her career as a dancer at Saroj Khan's Dance Academy. Saroj Khan was impressed with her dancing and told her mother that she should try working in television.

In the starting days, she struggled to find a role in any TV serial. But, she didn't give up, and in year 2010, she was able to find a role. She debuted on a Hindi television show. Her first television role was in Sapna Babul K … Bidaaiin 2010. She played the role of Guni, but for some reason, she performed her role in a few episodes. After that, she left the show due to some personal issue.

After this show, she made his mark in the industry. Later, she got roles in various television shows like Crime Patrol and Adaalat, a popular show in which she worked with the famous television actor Ronit Roy. She also worked in a horror show, Fear Files.
