Magala was included in the Eastern Province cricket team's squad for the 2015 Africa T20 Cup. At the 2016 Africa T20 Cup, he took the most wickets (12) of any player. He was included in the Nelson Mandela Bay Stars roster for the T20 Global League's inaugural season in August 2017.
