What is the full form of UFOUFO: Unidentified Flying ObjectUFO stands for Unidentified Flying Object. It refers to a flying object or a body in the sky that does not belong or known to our world, e.g. it cannot be identified as a known object (airplane, missile) or a natural phenomenon. UFO is basically related to unseen extraterrestrial life and aliens from other planets. The term UFO was first used by USAF (United States Air Force) in 1953 to indicate any mysterious flying object that is not supposed to be capable of flying. USAF defined UFO as any airborne object which by performance and aerodynamic does not resemble any known aircraft, missile, etc. In the late 1940s and during 1950s, the UFO is often referred to as flying discs. The maximum number of UFO sightings has been reported in 2017. In the last 112 years since the National UFO Reporting Centre began keeping the record of UFOs, there have been 104,947 UFO sightings. The majority of these sightings were reported in the United States. Most of these sightings can be explained as airplanes, fireworks and comets. It is believed that the oldest recorded incident of seeing a UFO took place in 1440BC; this incident was documented by the royal scribe of the Egyptian Pharaoh.
