Mythology of Mata Vaishno Devi temple

According to tradition, the goddess was busy killing the Asuras. One day Mata Maha Kali, Mata Maha Lakshmi, and Mata Maha Saraswati, her three main manifestations, joined together and combined their entire spiritual strength. A tremendously bright light shone from the point where the three manifestations' spiritual strength merged, and a beautiful young girl appeared from this spiritual strength. This girl's name is Vaishnavi, and she was created with the purpose of dwelling on earth and devoting her life to maintaining morality.

There are several traditions surrounding the creation of the Mata Vaishno Devi temple. However, the myth of Pandit appears to be the most suitable. According to legend, Pandit Sridhar was a poor sage who had a sight of Vaishno Devi leading him to the shrine. According to geological research, the cave is a million years old. It is claimed about this isolated cave that Vaishno Devi hid from Bhairon Nath for 9 months. The goddess is claimed to have positioned herself in the same way that an unborn child is positioned in their mother's womb. That's why the Garbhjun is another name for this cave.
