BARCODE FONT FOR EXCEL

INTRODUCTION:

Using a barcode font in Excel will enable you to create barcodes. The actions you can do are as follows:

1. Install and download a barcode font: Several barcode fonts may be downloaded for free or bought. A popular free barcode typeface is "Code 128." You may download it to your computer and find it by searching online.
2. Double-clicking the downloaded file and selecting "Install" will install the font on your computer.
3. Launch Excel: Open the spreadsheet where you wish to create barcodes by launching Excel.
4. Set Up the Cells: Decide which cells you want the barcode to show up in.
5. Modify the Font: Navigate to the Excel ribbon's "Home" tab.
6. Choose the barcode font you installed (such as "Code 128") from the font selection option.
7. Enter or copy the information you wish to be encoded into the barcode in the cells that have been chosen. For instance, you can input any character that is alphanumeric while utilising Code 128.
8. Change the font's size. You may need to change the font size to make sure the barcode is readable, depending on the typeface and size you choose.

Modify the Security Preferences in Excel 365 or 2007-2019.

1. Open Excel from Microsoft.
2. Select the tab for developers.
3. On the ribbon, choose the Macro Security button.
   
4. In the Macro Configuration, choose Enable all macros.
5. In Excel, the aforementioned procedures only need to be completed once.

Open Excel 365 or Excel 2007-2019 and import the VBA macros.

1. Open Excel from Microsoft.
2. Select the tab for developers.
3. On the ribbon, click the Visual Basic button.
4. The Visual Basic for Applications editor will open as a result.
   
5. Select File->Import File... from the menu.
6. Choose the Encoder. bas file included in the ConnectCode package. The Resource subfolder, where ConnectCode is installed, contains this file.

Note: The "Encoder. bas" file is located in the "Resource.zip" file if you are using the Microsoft Windows 11 setup.

7. Select Save, then Close in the Visual Basic Editor.

Making a barcode in Excel 365 or 2007-2019

• Open Excel from Microsoft.
• Make a fresh spreadsheet in Excel.
• Enter "12345678" in cell A1, as indicated below. Let the barcode appear in the next column.
  
• In cell B1, enter the macro function. For instance, enter "=Encode_Code39(A1)" in this box to encode a Code 39 barcode.
• Press the Enter key to see the barcode text "*12345678-*" decoded.
• In cell B1, which contains the encoded barcode string, change the font to CCode39_S3. Select 24 as the Font Size.
• Additional data can be entered in the first column. Then, by copying and pasting the encoding function in the second column, you may encode them as barcodes.
