OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G Review

Introduction

The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G has been launched in India with a starting price of Rs 19,999. The new 5G smartphone, which replaces the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G, is one of the company's most cost-effective Nord-branded devices. While some CE 3 features have significantly improved, others have not. Customers will be happy to know that this model will cost precisely the same as the old model of OnePlus. The crucial choice is whether support the CE 3 5G or take other mobile phones on the market into account. We have offered our review for your reference.

Price

India has seen this new OnePlus model released in two storage configurations. The standard model, which has 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage, costs Rs. 19,999, while the other variation, which has 256GB of storage, costs Rs. 21,999. Customers are getting more RAM with this Nord smartphone for the same price as the CE 2, which had 6GB of RAM in its previous model.

Design and Display

This variant comes in a vivid color of lime sorbet, which appears to be this season's color of choice. It does gather fingerprints and smudges, but they are not noticeable because of the brilliant color. You might enjoy this color less because design tastes are sometimes arbitrary. There is a color choice for Chromatic Grey in such a situation.

This phone feels comfortable in hand. Despite the flat frame, the back panel has a slight curvature toward the borders. It feels less weighty compared to its 195g on-paper weight. The left edge of the phone has clicky buttons. It would be preferable if it were more significant in size. The power button also functions as a fingerprint scanner to quickly verify and unlock the phone. It contains two speakers, with the earpiece functioning as a second output. Having stereo speakers is a good improvement over its predecessor.

As lovely as it appears from the backside, the front is somewhat below average. It has an IPS LCD screen, which may not have been the ideal choice given today's competition. This does not imply that the 6.72-inch display on the Nord CE 3 Lite is inadequate. The phone's maximum brightness of 680 nits is sufficient for outdoor use. However, rivals provide brighter screens with higher contrast, black depths, and color saturation. Thanks to the CE 3 Lite's WideVine L1 certification, Netflix is now compatible with full-HD content. The display is quite sleek and has an adjustable refresh rate. The display alternates between 30Hz - 120Hz depending on what is shown on the screen. The display's user interface scrolling appeared to be pretty smooth. But most third-party applications operate at 60Hz.

Specifications and Software

The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC & a 5,000mAh battery, all featured in its predecessor. The battery's ability to charge more quickly has increased, however. The phone enables rapid charging, which, according to OnePlus, can recharge its battery up to 80% in just thirty minutes. The phone also offers GPS, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth, 8GB of RAM, and other features. A hybrid SIM slot is available, and it can accommodate a microSD card storage extension of up to 1 TB.

Additionally, RAM is managed relatively well. However, if you play a game such as Call of Duty Mobile, you risk having to reload YouTube or Netflix when you get back. You can choose to lock specific applications in memory.

Performance and Battery Life

Despite its age, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC in the Nord CE 3 Lite 5G is still a powerful processor. Ordinary tasks are efficiently completed on the phone. Most games have graphics ranging from passable to great, and switching between programs or times for loading is not excessively long.

Regarding battery life, the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G may last a whole day, provided you don't use it too frequently. Its screen-on time you were varied between 7.5 and 8.5 hours on days when you played many games for over an hour or binge-watched shows on Wi-Fi. The phone ran on our video loop test for an above-average 17 hours and 19 minutes. This phone needs 50 minutes to charge from zero entirely.

Cameras

The primary camera performs incredibly well during the day. Photos taken with the primary camera provide sufficient color and detail. I liked how the phone tried to maintain colors as accurately as possible without oversaturating the images. The dynamic range performance of HDR photographs might have been enhanced.

Even though they have adequate exposure, night mode photos miss some details and could be more crisp. In low-light portrait photography, the colors are a little ok, but you'll notice that the finer details are a little fuzzy.

The company advertises that the primary camera can shoot "3x zoom shots," however, to capture fine details, you must have steady hands and enough light. Although the results are frequently subpar, you can practice macro photography with the phone's macro camera because it is equivalent to those on other phones.

The front camera of the Nord CE 3 Lite 5G often captures colors and details accurately when taking selfies. However, portrait mode images have a different color calibration since faces seem fairer than in photo mode. The blur also looks appealing, and the edge detection accuracy is perfect.

The front and back cameras of the Nord CE 3 Lite 5G can only record videos at a frame rate of 1080p/30. However, considering what is available, the video camera's performance is acceptable.

Pros Cons
  • Good design and a big display
  • Competent stereo speakers
  • The 3.5mm jack is there.
  • Decent battery life
  • Great speakers
  • Clean and smooth UI
  • Wired Support for 67W Fast Charging
  • A decent daytime photography
  • The cameras are not good.
  • The LCD display is used.
  • Dated processor,
  • Poor Night Photography,
  • Ads in the User Interface,
  • No IP rating,
  • Little Expensive
  • Stereo Speaker Volume is Low
  • Not the Best Gaming Option

Conclusion

This phone is an excellent option for individuals who desire a OnePlus smartphone but are on a tight budget. In addition to the new Oxygen OS experience, you get a long battery life, respectable performance, and quick charging. Though the design is a personal preference, the phone's general in-hand feel and lime color was really appealing. Additionally, the display is easy to use and rather tall. However, it provides few improvements over its predecessor regarding display and computing capability. Its performance and photos may need to be better. It may still be recommended for OnePlus enthusiasts on a tight budget.
