Realme Narzo 50i Prime Review

There are little to no differences between the smartphones introduced by different smartphone makers. Additionally, targeted purchasers need clarification on these products. 1. Design

The Realme Narzo 50i Prime and Realme C30s' designs are challenging since they appear identical. The Narzo 50i Prime has a redesigned back pattern and an improved camera area. The other features of both cell phones are similar, with a plastic frame, plastic back, and unbranded glass protection. The phone is well-made despite having a lot of plastic. It also has a good appearance.

The back has a ridged design, while the sides are flat. The device's right side features easily reachable power and volume controls. However, this phone lacks a fingerprint reader, and the power button seems slightly soft compared to the Realme C33.

Every smartphone should have a fingerprint reader that costs more than ? 6000 by 2022, yet many models still need one. For its size, the product is relatively light and comfortable to hold. Since it has no IP rating, it is essential to take caution while doing so close to a beach or swimming pool. The Realme Narzo 50i Prime's 6.5-inch IPS LCD is identical to the Realme C33. It denotes that the phone's screen is relatively standard. Despite having HD+ resolution, there are times when tiny UI elements and text with small font sizes appear pixelated. Its colors and brightness are both pleasing.

However, Realme has turned up the contrast to 11, and certain details in specific UI components still need to be recovered. The screen is OK for the vast majority of parts. It is substantial, brightly lighted, and attractive.

The lone loudspeaker of the Realme Narzo 50i Prime performs wonderfully. Despite the volume it generates, expect something that could be better from it. For watching movies, it's OK, but for listening to music, earbuds are recommended. You may use your preferred set of earbuds because the phone features a 3.5mm headphone socket.

3. Cameras

There is just one camera on the back. I appreciate that Realme did not include any pointless 2MP cameras on the back to demonstrate that it has many cameras. The Redmi 10A smartphone costs about as much and has a 13MP camera sensor on the back; thus, the phone's 8MP resolution and sensor size could be better.

Rear camera: Daylight

Let's look at how the Realme Narzo 50i Prime performs in terms of its camera. In the daytime, the 8MP rear camera produces good pictures. Additionally, the dynamic range is superb, and the colors are lovely. The details are adequate, and the visuals are vibrant. The camera produced better photographs.

Rear camera: The Low Light

Night mode dramatically improves the experience. The visuals are more vivid, and the dynamic range is considerably better. There is also less noise. Use the Night mode to take pictures in even somewhat dim lighting.

Front Camera

In addition, the front-facing camera's 5MP resolution could be more desirable. But the Narzo 50i Prime also captures quality selfies that are at least acceptable for the price.

Video Recording

The front-facing and back cameras on the Narzo 50i Prime can capture movies at a frame rate of 30 frames per second in 1080p. Because there is no video stabilization, the videos are unsteady. In excellent lighting conditions, details are also subpar. It's advisable to avoid taking videos while it's dark outside because it will be difficult to see anything.

4. Software

The Narzo 50i Prime features Android 11 with Realme UI S. Realme UI Go Edition (seen on the Realme C30s) is more straightforward than full-fledged Realme UI. The software appears to be fine but includes many bloatware applications and games.

Live wallpapers are available with Realme UI S, although the app launcher is basic and resembles the standard Android launcher. The quick setting toggles' ordering and shapes can be modified, but not their colors or shapes. You also receive stock Google applications for the file manager, calendar, calculator, and messaging rather than Realme apps. At least the multi-user capability is available.

The phone will probably receive two significant Android OS updates, although, as is customary, Realme's cost-effective phones receive updates approximately a year after Google releases a newer version of Android. You receive all of Android 11's fundamental features, such as a storage manager, accessibility options, a dual SIM card manager, a manager for alerts, a manager for screen time, a manager for Dark Mode, a manager for Night Light, a manager for font and display size settings, and Do Not Disturb Mode.

It's good software. However, there are phones with better software features and more individualized options. However, the program performs without any significant delays or difficulties.

4. Performance

The Unisoc T612 processor featured in the Narzo 50i Prime is an upgrade over the Unisoc SC9863A chipset in the Realme C30s and Realme C33. It has two powerful CPU cores (Cortex-A75) and six power-efficient CPU cores (Cortex-A55). The model featured 64GB of UFS 2.2 storage and 4GB of RAM.

The phone's performance is adequate. Although you may occasionally experience some slowdowns, using standard programs should present only a few problems due to the 4GB RAM. Even so, you only utilize a handful of online shopping applications and standard apps like calendar, instant messaging, and email.

Alto's Odyssey and Monument Valley are two examples of simple games you may play. The Narzo 50i Prime won't be able to handle playing competitive games with perfect frame rates. The phone has strong cellular reception and good call quality. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth both functioned adequately.

5. Battery Life

In my review, I was able to utilize the Realme Narzo 50i Prime nonstop for a whole day. You may anticipate 1.5 days of usage on a single charge if you have a modest usage routine. However, this is not very unexpected, given the price of modern smartphones. The more effective CPUs in certain phones help them operate even longer.

However, the phone's charging port and speed have been dissatisfied. The charger for the gadget is a 10W one, and it charges slowly. Nearly 3.5 hours are needed to charge from 0% to 100%. In addition, the phone's micro USB connector is less user-friendly than a USB Type-C port.
