Introduction

The Redmi Note 10 S has a great battery life and gaming performance as compared to Note 10 Pro which isn't great overall because of its low-end camera and bad Display.

Redmi Note 10S Lowest Price 16,999 rupees only. The Redmi series of inexpensive smartphones regularly offered tremendous and advanced features, and its basic but effective Mi UI, which advertisements have supported, has been primarily responsible for that success.

After the fantastic Redmi Note 10 series of smartphones, Xiaomi has come out with a new one, the Redmi Note 10S. It's a mid-range smartphone that falls between the Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10 Pro. It's an odd phone from Xiaomi that adds to the company's portfolio, but it has a gaming focus that might appeal to Call of Duty Mobile and PUBG fans.

Building and Design

Redmi Note 10S Review
  • Jack for headphones
  • 178g, 8.3mm
  • IP53

The design language of the Redmi Note 10S is similar to that of the Redmi Note 10 series, which was released on May 13, 2021. It has a basic appearance but a cool blue (ocean blue) gradient color and a matte surface that makes it comfortable to hold in hand.

It has IP53 splash and dust protection, just like other Redmi phones, and is not mainly a smudge magnet. It even has a 3.5mm headphone socket and an IR blaster, an essential aspect of Redmi phones.

The camera arrangement is situated on the phone's back, which offers a bump and a charming appearance similar to a vintage camera. This bulge also stops your phone from lying flat on the table, which is annoying. Some stereo speakers are loud but lack clarity, yet they should suffice for someone on a tight schedule.

On the other hand, it weighs 178g and is thicker by 8.3mm, the same as Redmi Note 10 pro. By current standards, it is still a straightforward phone; however, the 6.43 screen size is massive.

Redmi has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that, because it is incorporated in the power button, makes it incredibly easy to unlock the phone - it is quick and highly effective.

Overall, it's a well-designed phone with a distinct color that's not too unlike its Redmi relatives from 2021. The good news is that the smartphone's construction is also top-notch for its price.

Display

Redmi Note 10S Review
  • 6.43-inch AMOLED
  • Full HD+
  • 60Hz Display

Xiaomi's Redmi phones have always had excellent screens, and the Redmi Note 10S is no exception. However, it fails the smoothness provided by the 120Hz refresh rate. As a result, it does not offer a 90Hz refresh rate, which is not available on the similarly priced Note 10 5G.

Given the MediaTek chip's gaming capabilities, it could be a lot better, but it offers vibrant and bright colors, reasonable viewing angles, and adequate luminance levels. It has a peak brightness of 1100 nits, which is sufficient even in bright outdoor situations, and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

It's a good display for viewing Netflix videos or reading text. It does what it's supposed to, but it gets tricky since you can get Redmi Note 10 Pro with a fast refresh rate screen. Of course, the pro model has an outstanding panel.

Like the other Redmi Note 10 series phones, it misses HDR10 capability, slightly reducing its content consumption capabilities.

However, it looks fantastic - you're primarily staring at all displays with almost any bezel, though some are on the phone's edge. The hole punch camera can be found on the upper left side of the screen. It is a well-known dot, so it does not interfere with anything.

Specifications and Performance

Redmi Note 10S Review
  • Helio G95 Mediatek
  • 6GB RAM
  • Storage capacity of up to 128GB

The most intriguing aspect of the Redmi Note 10S is that it is powered by the same MediaTek Helio G95 chipset seen in the Redmi Note 8 Pro. It is a 12nm CPU with an octa-core architecture, a Mali G76 MC4 graphics processing unit (GPU), 6GB RAM, and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage with microSD card memory extension capability.

It is an important specification considering that Xiaomi has utilized Qualcomm Snapdragon chips in most of its earlier models. MediaTek has made much of this chip's gaming promise, supported by attractive, fast memory and massive DDR4x RAM.

Daily performance was excellent, and multitasking was also handled rather effectively. Even with 20 applications open at the same time and while continually switching between tabs in Chrome,

Conclusion

The quality of the daylight images was average, with over-sharpened details and blotchy, distant objects. The macro and close-up images were better in quality. The low-light images were dull and blurred, while the Night mode made slight improvements. The Redmi Note 10 is the better choice due to its superior performance.
