Aranya movie is a Telegu movie, it's an actual blue animal film based on the protection of forests and the animals living in them. Rana Daggubati plays the role of Aranya (Narendra Bhupati), who has dedicated his life to carrying forward his family heritage and gets awarded by the President of India. He was born and raised in Chilakalakona forests in Vizag and was in his fifties, surviving with animals in forests. His family has been protecting the forests and animals for generations. But the problem arises when Kanakamedala Rajagopalan (Ananth Madhavan), a developer and politician in the movie, wants to build a forest township. In the rest of the drama, Aranya fights against Raja Gopalam to save his forests and animals.

Story and Analysis

Prabhu Solomon attempts something new that takes immense courage, resilience, and research to make this kind of film. Detailed focus on the deep jungle and its sheer contrast to urban life. It is a topic of discussion for city dwellers because we harm forests to live humble life. Aranya lives with the elephants in the forests like his family and conserves forests by planting hundreds of thousands of trees. He was awarded with the title of "The Forests Man," a national recognition due to his unfailing efforts to conserve forests, just like Tarzan.

The villain of the story, Kanakamedala Raja Gopalam, tries to disturb the forest's peace with his longstanding dream to develop a large township in the forest. He distorts the harmony in the woods called home by the hero. Villain wanted to clear fauna and fauna for the construction of his dream of a township to take place. Aranya moves to New Delhi to fight against such a takeover but fails due to a corrupt system that favors Raja Gopalam. After this defeat, Aranya decided to play his strengths.

Ananth Mahadevan and his corrupt team wants to build 500 acre township by destroying forests and start this process by building a 60 Km wall to prevent elephants from interfering in the site for drinking water. The rest of the story is about the struggle of Bhupati to save elephants and forests from demolition.

Aranya Movie Review

Bhupati's (Rana) look was completely different from his previous films as he has to play the role of a forest man surviving in his 50's. His look was designed with a thick beard and ultra-lean avatar whose heart beat for the forests and wild animals. Other characters also played at their best, like Vishnu Vishal, who played the role of Singha. His character was vital as he was the owner of the kimchi elephant who lends it to Raja Gopalam, but once his part was done, he disappeared from the film.

Two brother sisters, Milliyah and Malli, from the Aranya village become Naxalities due to a traumatic encounter with the local police force. They have yet to cross paths, even parallel to the main story. Bhupati was supported by a journalist role played by Shriya Pilgaonker) but actually couldn't.

The film's main highlights were cinematography, background score, and Rana's fantastic performance. Still, the story has some drawbacks, like a pointless climax, flat drama, dull second half, weak screenplay, lengthy runtime, lack of thrills, and logicless drama. The film's first half is interesting with some curiosity, but after the interval, the film goes down (the narrative goes haywire). There are many loopholes and umpteen questions that need to be answered. The climax is not convincing because it doesn't engage the audience or have thrills. The movie has excellent technical aspects as they are mounted on a big scale. The production and technical crew did their best to visualize the movie's reality. The best rich part is sound design, background score, and editing have been crisper. This half-cooked story end is pointless but able to convenience viewers that elephants have feelings and no one has the right to destroy the natural ecosystem. Finally, the movie has a good message but a boring narration.
