1. Ahimsa Review: Himsa for the Audience

You can always depend on Tollywood to new misogyny in ways previously unknown to man. Raghu (Abhiram) is married to Ahalya (Geethika). On the other hand, Dushyantha Rao's (Rajat Bedi) who is a powerful son, raped Ahalya to death. Raghu starts a fight for Ahalya's justice despite his typical aversion to violence and illicit methods.

Greatandhra Reviews

Lawyer Lakshmi (Sada) provides her support to this case. Raghu's commitment to non-violent means is questioned since he digs deeper into the search for justice. Will he finally give in to violence in his struggle for justice?

  • Name of the Movie is "Ahimsa"
  • Cast include Sada, Abhiram Daggubati, Gitika Tiwari, Kamal Kamaraju, Rajat Bedi, and others
  • Banner by Anandi Arts Creations
  • Music was done by RP Patnaik
  • DOP by Sameer Reddy

  • Editor is Kotagiri
  • Producer is Kiran

  • Story, screenplay, and direction by Teja
  • Released on Date of June 02, 2023

Teja is a well-known director and the announcement that he would direct Rana's brother Abhiram was quite a buzz. Despite the delays, "Ahimsa" managed to attract viewers' interest. Let us now assess its strengths and weaknesses.

Artistes' Performances

Abhiram Daggubati, the younger brother of Rana and the son of popular producer D Suresh Babu makes his debut as an actor in this film. However, he fails to attract our interest because he needs excellent looks and acting talents. Geethika, the new face, performs averagly in this film. On the other hand, Sada impresses with her role by demonstrating exceptional acting talent. Unfortunately, the rest of cast should have loud acting methods

Technical Excellence

This film roots into new places for its forest sequences, delivering a refreshing experience. Sameer Reddy's cinematography is highly outstanding, demonstrating his depth of skill in capturing incredible visuals. On the other side, the film's music are mediocre. Making a comeback, RP Patnaik has managed to release several good numbers, with "Neethoney Neethoney" standing out as the best out of all. "Vudhile Vundhile" is also well. On the other hand, the editing needs to be more organized, resulting in a disorganized appearance. Furthermore, the picture has a lengthy running time.

Highlights

  • Highlights include the cinematography and different locations.
  • A courtroom scene in the movie

Drawback

  • The disadvantage is that the sequences are excessive.
  • Boring narrative
  • The second part is never-ending.
  • Abhiram's acting and appearance

Analysis

Teja has made debuts for many actors, including late actor Uday Kiran, Kajal Aggarwal, Nithiin, Navdeep, Sada, and Prince. He has a history of introducing new appearances in his films. However, the experienced director must still make films that appeal to today's audiences. With one exception of 'Nene Raju Nene Mantri,' all of Rana's films in the last decade have been failures. After a short hiatus, Teja has cast Abhiram Daggubati as the lead in his new project. While this acts as a launch pad for the Abhiram's career, it provides the impression that Teja's ideas are trapped in the early 2000s, as in his past works. Certain scenes in the film have a "Jayam" feel, while others feel like rehashed scenes from his previous works. Abhiram and Gayatri are pursued by three different parties, forcing them to retreat into the wilderness and run continuously.

Greatandhra Reviews

The film seems to drag on forever. Surprisingly, Director Teja has put an item song after two hours and twenty minutes into the movie, just as we are about to leave, assuming the climax action has been done. He then adds another 20 minutes to the story. The audience's endurance is utmost in this 2-hour and 42-minute movie. It's impossible to say which is more unbearable among Abhiram's emotionless acting or Teja's boring storyline. The combination of Abhiram's philosophical view and performing style causes a headache. One must be extremely patient to make it to the film's end. The entire second half, packed with never-ending chases and battles exposes the director's need for more awareness of modern filmmaking trends. Although several statements about violence and nonviolence look acceptable on paper, they are absurd in the film. Certain scenes are downright misogynistic. Overall, "Ahimsa" causes the audience himsa (damage). It's a complicated as well as forgettable experience, which makes it tough to remember what we saw in the conclusion of the movie.

2. Nenu Student Sir Review: Narration Falls Flat

Subbu (Bellamkonda Ganesh), a college student, becomes obsessed with purchasing an iPhone. The following day, after purchasing the most latest model a conflict breaks out at his institution between two student groups. Before any counseling can begin, the cops seize all the phones which are involved. Unfortunately, Subbu's phone unexpectedly go missing from the tray where the police kept it. He asks Commissioner of Police Vasudevan (Samuthirakani) for help in finding his phone. But much to his dismay, the support he anticipates does not occur.

Greatandhra Reviews

Subbu is hoping that making friendship with Shruti (Avantika) who is the daughter of the commissioner and a fellow student at the same institution as Subbu, will help him get back his phone. Subbu and Shruti develop feelings for each other as they grow closer. However, his involvement with her eventually entangles him in a murder investigation. As the movie progresses, the circumstances around this event and the motives behind it become clear.

Details of Movie

  • Name of the Movie is "Nenu Student Sir!"
  • Cast include Bellamkonda Ganesh, Samuthirakani, Avantika Dassani, Ravi Sivateja Sunil, Auto Ramprasad, Charandeep, Srikanth Iyengar, Pramodhini and others.
  • Banner by SV2 Entertainment
  • Story by Krishna Chaitanya
  • Music was done by Mahati Swara Sagar
  • Dialogues are written by Kalyan Chakravarthy
  • DOP by Anith Madhavi
  • Fights was covered by Ramakrishnan
  • Producer is Satish Varma
  • Editor is Chota K Prasad
  • Director is Rakhi Uppalapati
  • Release on the Date of June 02, 2023

"Swatimuthyam" was Bellamkonda Ganesh's debut film. Satish Varma, best known for producing the well acclaimed "Naandi," produced for Ganesh's second film, "Nenu Student Sir." The producer declared strongly in the movie's promotion that it would be as fascinating as "Naandi." Is his claim confirmed to be true?

Artistes' Performances

Bellamkonda Ganesh appears to be a college student. He's an excellent selection for the part. Avantika Dassani makes her acting debut in the film, as the daughter of known actress Bhagyashri (of "Maine Pyar Kiya" fame). Though her character is very typical and the relationship between Ganesh and Avantika lacks fizz. Samuthirakani represents a good cop. He's all good in it. Both Srikanth Iyengar as well as Charandeep perform brilliantly. It is acceptable to play Ravi Sivateja to be the hero's friend.

Technical Excellence

The film's production and technical values are satisfactory. However, the movie has less effective musical score. The songs are entirely dull. The dialogue should have been more witty.

Highlights

  • The primary purpose of a bank scam
  • The interval scenes
  • The last 15 minutes

Drawback

  • The first half is boring
  • Hero dials his phone since his brother is bothering him
  • Scenes involving the hero and heroine
  • Narration is ineffective

Analysis

"Nenu Student Sir" appears to be a murder mystery or suspense thriller at first glance. However, the film only digs into its central theme which is the scam of stealing from unclaimed bank accounts in the final act. Much of the plot centers around the protagonist's search for his lost phone and the following consequences. Deferring the core point till the conclusion may be suitable if the previous sequences are appealing. While the core plot of the film is intriguing and the narration by new director Rakhi Uppalapati fails to captivate the viewer for more than two hours. The hero of "Nenu Student Sir" is obsessed with having an iPhone, that he affectionately refers to as "Buchi Babu" and adores like a younger sibling in the first act. The second act is focussed on his attempts to win over the heroine and find his phone from the cops. However, these scenes are uninteresting and drag the film down. Fortunately, the picture picks up steam when the hero gets involved in a murder by making it interesting.

Greatandhra Reviews

The main story of "Nenu Student Sir" centres around a large scheme involving money theft using unclaimed bank accounts. The picture only shows the surface of this issue, but there are enough aspects to provide for some dramatic episodes. As previously stated, the film only becomes intriguing during these sections, with the remaining as uninteresting. Overall, the scam depicted in "Nenu Student Sir" is intriguing and relevant. Still, the film's execution and plot fail shorMostity of the film is uninteresting, but the underlying subject is worth finding. This movie may be the best of the three new releases of that weekend.

3. Pareshan Review: Another Silly Comedy

While Isaac is dealing with this situation, his girlfriend says that she is pregnant and needs financial support for an abortion. To make matters worse, another friend steals the money he had saved for the abortion surgery. Will Isaac ever overcome his difficulties and solve his parmesan (problems)?

Details of Movie

  • Banner by Waltair Productions
  • DOP by Vasu Pendem
  • Music Director is Yashwanth Nag
  • Art by Sripal Macharla
  • Editor is Hari Shankar TN
  • Written and Directed by Rupak Ronaldson
  • Producer is Siddharth Rallapalli
  • Released on the date of June 02, 2023

The contribution of actor Rana as the presenter of small film featuring Tiruveeru, best known for his performance in "Masooda," which aroused people's interest. Furthermore, the film promises a unique comedy set in rural Telangana. The title of the film, "Pareshan," added to the charm. Has the movie met these expectations?

Artistes' Performances

Tiruveer's acting abilities have already been displayed in films such as "Masooda." This is a relatively routine role for him, and he performs admirably. He certainly has Pavani Karanam as a girlfriend. Muralidhar Goud is an excellent choice for the role of the hero's father. The remaining actors are new faces and amateurs.

Technical Excellence

The whole film is shot in the countryside of Telangana, as well as the cinematography is good. On the other hand, Music as bases is a complete failure. The production values are low.

Highlights

  • A couple of gags in the second half are highlights.

Drawback

  • The disadvantage is that there are too many drinking sequences.
  • There is no narrative worth describing.
  • Familiar conflict scenes

Analysis

The comedies set in country Telangana are becoming repetitive with little variation in plot and narrative. "Pareshan" is one of the most recent instances of this trend. The film, directed by Rupak Ronaldson, introduces a young Christian man as the protagonist, although the rest of the plot is typical of current country comedy. The hero experiences the expected hardships such as criticism from his father, money issues, romantic complications and drinking and partying with friends. These are the crucial scenes in "Pareshan." The film's drinking scenes and ridiculous jokes are more important than its story or any other aspect.

Greatandhra Reviews

Although none of these friends have a steady source of income, they continue to drink beer. They drink when they're down, when they're up, and even when they're broke (without trying to explain where that money comes from). As a strategy to advance the plot, the director appears to have envisioned these guys engaged in brawls or simply drinking beer from bottles. The plot revolves around the hero lending an amount of his father's Rs 2 lakh to his friend. The journey to retrieve the money back becomes the tough journey and the gang consumes beers which costs over two lakh rupees. That's how absurd the film's premise is. Even though a love song It is best to be avoided. It is impractical for a young lady to think she is pregnant right after engaging in sexual activities. Is it reasonable to consider abortion only a few days soon after unsafe sexual intercourse? Why not use a simple option, such as one of the many test for pregnancy kits available in medical stores? These elements raise concerns about the film's relevance in today's world. It is sad that films like "Pareshan" bear the Telangana name, as they degrade the region's reputation by promoting the idea that telegana residents only eat mutton and drink beer. The film's only consolation is a couple of jokes. The scene with the hero's father catching him during a wedding procession is particularly entertaining which is the moment with a Christian priest participating in a religious album. A couple of funny scenes though cannot save a movie. Overall, "Pareshan" is another failed attempt at Telangana country drama. It consists solely of scenes of people drinking. What a ridiculous comedy!

4. Men Too Review: Too Much of Boredom

Aditya (Naresh Agastya) is a corporate employee who is struggling to get recognition and validation in a predominantly female workplace. A disillusioned mechanic, Munna (Mourya Siddavaram) has a grudge against women due to a failed romance he experienced in past. Sanju (Kaushik Ghantasala) finds that he is trapped in a loveless relationship with Neha, an actor and stand-up comedian who has animosity towards men.

Greatandhra Reviews

These three men find solace and friendship in a males pub where they can express their frustrations and concerns. They set off on a journey to test the limits of their convictions, determined to make their voices heard. How far will they defend men's rights and find their unique identity?

Details of the Movie

  • Name of the movie is "Men Too"
  • Cast include Naresh Agastya, Harsha Chemudu, Brahmaji, Sudharshan, Priyanka Sharma, Riya Suman, Mourya Siddavaram, Kaushik Ghantasala, Karthik Adusumilli Ashritha,
  • Banner by LANTERN Entertainment
  • Music was done by Elisha Praveen G & Osho Venkat
  • Cinematography is done by PC Mouli
  • Producer is Mourya Siddavaram
  • Editor is Karthik Vunnava
  • Directed by Srikanth G Reddy
  • Released on the date of May 26, 2023

Artistes' Performances

Throughout the film, Naresh, Kaushik, and Mourya play their characters expertly and energetically. Harsha gives a stunning performance as Rahul, showcasing his acting and dancing ability in a break from his usual humorous roles. Brahmaji, Priyanka Sharma, Nellore Sudharshan and Riya Suman played significantly by supporting roles.

Technical Excellence

The music was done by Elisha Praveen and Osho Venkat is decent and the cinematography by PC Mouli was also done well. Karthik Vunnava edited the film, Srihitha Kotagiri designed the costumes, and Chandra Mouli did the art direction.

Analysis

Men Too is directed by Srikanth G Reddy and written by Rakendu Mouli by attempting to highlight the perspective of men who have fallen prey to pseudo-feminism in a world where the lines between feminism and pseudo-feminism have been blurred. While the concept is interesting and the cast gives strong performances, the overall presentation could be more precise. The screenplay could have used stronger execution and coherence since Aditya's message about males desiring equality and being victims, themselves get lost in the confusion. The film seeks to give an intriguing perspective from a masculine perspective with a blend of comedy, but it needs to implement its concepts properly. Men Too is a film about a group of men expressing their frustrations, but it needs to provide a thoughtful study of the subject. Instead, it makes provacative generalizations about women, undermining its overall message. While it acknowledges that being a male can be challenging, the film is difficult to watch due to a lack of complexity and meaningful storytelling.

5. Malli Pelli Review: Biopic of Naresh and Pavitra!

Narendra (Naresh) is an experienced actor who has married twice and getting married for the third time. He finds that his third wife, Sowmya Sethupathi (Vanitha Vijaykumar), married him for the sake of money. At this age, he wanted 'peace of mind.' He describes her as her soulmate. Narendra, on the other hand only proceeds after realising she lives a happy life in Bangalore with her partner and two children.

Greatandhra Reviews

Later one night, he received a message from her that changes both of their lives forever. What was the message about? Will Narendra and Pavitra be able to come together as one despite Sowmya's effort to reveal their relationship?

Details of the movie

  • Name of the movie is Malli Pelli
  • Cast include Cast: Naresh VK, Vanitha Vijay Kumar, Pavitra Lokesh, Ananya Nagalla, Sarath Babu, Jayasudha, and others
  • Banner by Vijaya Krishna Movies
  • Music was done by Suresh Bobbili
  • DOP by MN Balreddy
  • Editor is Junaid Siddiqui
  • Background music was done by Arul Dev
  • Written and directed by MS Raju
  • Producer is Naresh VK
  • Released on the date of May 26, 2023

For months, the relationship of actors Naresh and his wife Pavitra Lokesh has become a hot topic in the media. Similarly, their most recent movie, "Malli Pelli," caused quite a sensation. The real couple plays themselves in this film. Let us examine its benefits as well as its drawbacks.

Artistes' Performances

Naresh portrays Narendra well. Pavitra Lokesh plays similarly. They are their genuine selves because the story is almost their life. Pavtira Lokesh's young self, played by Ananya Nagalla, makes charm to the film. Vanitha Vijay Kumar is an ideal choice for Narendra's third wife. The way she performs is also excellent. Jayasudha, who plays Naresh's mother and Sarath Babu who plays the original celebrity, play their roles with respect.

Technical Excellence

The film's production values are exceptional. The cinematography is outstanding. The music could be more catchy, but they are suited in the narration. Editing is cool. Dialogues are adequate.

Highlights

  • Highlights include MS Raju's narration
  • Pavitra Lokesh's chapter.

Drawback

  • The final chapter
  • Music
  • Plain script.

Analysis

"Malli Pelli" has received a lot of attention when Naresh and Pavitra Lokesh's real-life love became a significant topic in the media. Those who have been following the news have witnessed Ramya Raghupathi's claims against Naresh, and also the drama she planned in a hotel room in Bangalore. She claimed to have seen Naresh and Pavitra in a single room. Naresh and Pavitra have also lately declared that they have entered a new chapter in their life by living together. Naresh had three marriages, and Pavitra have children from previous relationships. But we have yet to learn how they met. What prompted Pavitra Lokesh, a married woman with children, to move in with Naresh? Is Ramya Raghupathi correct in her accusation? "Malli Pelli" puts significant events in context. The directors modified the names of the cast members, changing Naresh to Narendra, Pavitra into Parvathi, and Ramya Raghupathi to Sowmya Sethupathi, as part of the claim that the film is a work of fiction.

Greatandhra Reviews

Vijaya Nirmala and Superstar Krishna are portrayed by Jayasudha and Sarath Babu, respectively. Despite the directors' assertions to the contrary, the film is a biography of Naresh and Pavitra. The film starts with Naresh and Pavitra Lokesh travelling away from the location of their earlier dispute before flashing back on their first meeting. The story is divided into chapters, each focusing on various aspects of Naresh and Pavitra's lives:

  • Their friendship
  • Vanitha Vijay Kumar's pursue for Naresh
  • Pavitra Lokesh's live-in relationship with writer
  • The media circus

MS Raju made an effort to make the story more cinematic. He did an excellent job narrating the narrative. However, It is not really objective. The story concerning Pavitra Lokesh, and her writer friend has shown the story more dramatically and engagingly. On the negative side, the film becomes a little tedious in the final chapter. Whether their story is true, fiction, or one-sided, "Malli Pelli" is a decent film with exciting scenes that pique one's interest, given the contentious connection.

6. Mem Famous Review: More of a YouTube Video

Three buddies in Telangana's Bandla Narsampalli village waste their time by doing nothing. They are embarrassed by their irresponsibility. Anji Mama, one of their senior friends, advises them to undertake something uncommon in their village. They start a tent house company.

Greatandhra Reviews

However, their store is destroyed after only a few days in existence. As a result of this, one of their friends has moved to the big town. Before creating a YouTube channel named "Famous TV" and posting videos about everyday activities in their hamlet, the other two looked into numerous options. Will their attempt make them famous?

Details of the Movie

  • Name of the movie is Mem Famous
  • Cast include Sumanth Prabhas, Mani Aegurla, Saarya, Mourya Chowdary, Muralidhar Goud, Siri Raasi, Kiran Macha, Narendra Ravi, Anji Mama, Shiva Nandan, and others
  • Banner by Lahari Films, Chai Bisket Films
  • Editor is Srujana Adusumilli
  • Music was directed by Kalyan Nayak
  • DOP by Shyam Dupati
  • Art was done by Aravind Muli
  • Written and directed by Sumanth Prabhas
  • Producers are Anurag Reddy, Sharath Chandra, Chandru Manoharan
  • Released on the date of May 26, 2023

To attract people's attention, little films require creative and effective promotion. "Mem Famous," which included almost completely beginners was a social media smash. The Chai Bisket team is well known for making a lot of noise with their promos and they have done a fantastic job of getting this short film some attention. Superstar Mahesh Babu appreciated the film even before it was released. Let's see if the film lives up to the anticipation.

Artistes' Performances

Sumanth Prabhas is the film's writer, director, and star actor. His performance is highly natural, especially since this is his debut movie. A small boy playing "Lipstick" steals the stage. Anji Mama is another wonderful character in the film. The rest are at best mediocre. The two leading ladies do an excellent job in their different positions.

Technical Excellence

The technical quality of the film could be better. The camera work is typical of low-budget YouTube videos. Another critical issue is that the sync audio needed to be correctly restored. The song "Dosthulamu" stands out as nice one on an otherwise poor album.

Highlights

  • Several episodes stand out as highlights.
  • The little boy's ripped jeans joke

Drawback

  • Predictable screenplay and directing
  • Inadequate writing abilities
  • Low levels of production
  • Giving off the vibes of a short film

Analysis

According to the trailer and advertising materials, "Mem Famous" is a funny comedy about rural life. However, the film is different. Despite being set in a village and focusing on three friends, the film has a twist in that it is intended to look like a short film as well as a YouTube fun video than a full film. We can't get this emotion out of our thoughts even after the movie is ended. The beginning, middle, and end all look the same because it lacks the required structure that a film script should have. Sumanth Prabhas, the actor-writer-director, provides a few funny scenes. There's nothing more to it. To some extent, the film captures rural life and has a handful of watchable moments. The jokes are amusing. It's comical to see a little boy being scolded by his mother for spending money on torn pants, claiming that the shop owner had duped him into buying old jeans. Only this episode has something funny. Others need to be well written.

Greatandhra Reviews

Youth should be encouraged, according to the film (Youth Ni Encourage Cheyyali Dhum Dhum Cheyoddu). The film uses an episode from Popular TV, a YouTube channel started by teenagers, to convey this message. The message is adequate, but the script needs to be more interesting in terms of consistency. It's hard to think that rural children still need to learn how to make YouTube videos in these days. Aside from these issues, the film is primarily superficial and needs to meet the standard of a feature picture. A prank video episode is included in the film. Even in this situation, the director fails to deliver. If they had used half the originality in the trailer, the film might have looked better. "Mem Famous" is another attempt to capitalize on the rural drama craze. Significant negatives are a lack of feature film quality and random segments with no consistency. It's a short film video that could be more interesting to watch.

7. 2018 Review: Realistic Treat from Kerala

Persons on the other side of a dam have been suffering from a drought and a shortage of water resources. On the other hand, Kerala is bracing for monsoon rains and flooding. This story was happened in 2018 as the weather reports witness the floods, the lives of people like Ramesh (Tovino Thomas) who left the army and did odd jobs in his village, a journalist (Aparna Balamurali), the family of a fisherman (Lal, Asif Ali, and Naren), a truck driver in Tamil Nadu (Kalaiyarasan), a married couple going through marital problems (Vineet Srinivasan and Gauthami Nairand) a government official (Kunchako Boban) and thousands of Keralites.

Greatandhra Reviews

The story is portrayed through the perspective of these people to show how devastating the floods were and how the entire community came together to help the state.

Details of the Movie

  • Name of the movie is 2018
  • Cast include Tovino Thomas, Asif Ali, Kunchacko Boban, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Lal,
  • Narain, Gauthami Nair, Tanvi Ram, Sshivada, and others
  • Banner by Kavya Film Company
  • DOP by Akhil George
  • Editor is Chaman Chakko
  • Music was done by Nobin Paul
  • Written and Direction by Jude Anthany Joseph
  • Producers are Venu Kunnappilly, Anto Joseph C. K. Padma Kumar
  • Released on the date of May 26, 2023

In recent weeks, two movies about Kerala have gained a lot of attention. The first film is "The Kerala Story," a box office smash that sparked. The other is "2018," which depicts the 2018 Kerala floods. Consider this film, which performed exceptionally well at the Kerala movie theatres.

Artistes' Performances

Tovino Thomas gives an outstanding performance as Ramesh. At first, he looks to be one of many, but towards the end of the story, it is clear that he is the hero and messiah. He plays the character so effortlessly. Tanvi Ram is his love interest which is so lovely to watch. Lal and his two kids, Narain and Asif Ali play realistically. Aparna Balamurali and Kuchako Bobban's characters appear out of place in this film. They need more arcs.

Technical Excellence

The film meets excellent technical standards. The floods in the video seem exactly like they were shot during a real flood. Camerawork, the visual effects, and overall design are all really accurate. Jude Anthany Joseph, who is the director, produced the best technical results despite a small budget. Flood construction will definitely surprise you. Its acoustic design is its most vital point. We hear rain throughout the movie, which brings us right into the action.

Highlights

  • The thrilling second half
  • Sound design
  • Flood visual effects
  • Realistic portrayal

Drawback

  • The first half
  • Some episodes could be more detailed.

Analysis

Kerala experienced devastating floods in 2018, affecting everyone, rich and poor alike. Aside from the government and the Indian army, everyone came together to help one another. In particular, the fishing community helped people in reaching safer regions with their boats. In his film, director Jude Anthany Joseph captures this engagingly. This film depicts the pain and despair that Kerala citizens felt while stranded in floodwaters for those of us who had only watched the news on television. Director Jude depicts the difficulties they faced and illustrates how ordinary people gathered together to support one another and become heroes. The film's tagline should come as no surprise: "Everyone is a hero." The first act of the picture is tedious. Despite the fact that the film is less than an hour long, a few songs and various individual's backstories become repetitious. However, It is a purposeful attempt for making us to wait for the upcoming storm in the second half. From the intervel cut to the end, the action is quite engaging and sometimes it's highly emotional.

Greatandhra Reviews

We will feel like we are right in the middle of the flood, thanks to the sound design and outstanding technical expertise that went into creating the floods. The scene in which Tovino Thomas helps a pregnant woman in boarding an army aircraft is showed wonderfully. Other well-executed moments can also be found in the movie. Other scenes, such as Asif Ali's character attempting to obtain certificates, feel overly theatrical. Furthermore, the agony of child's and his family's suffering is overly prolonged. Some episodes were lacking in substance. On the other hand, the film gives advantage greatly from its editing, excellent visual effects, and stunning cinematography. The cinematic recreation of a tragic catastrophe and the humanity demonstrated by the characters make this a worthy watch. Despite a sluggish first hour, "2018" accurately recreates the 2018 floods that devastated Kerala and highlights the individuals who became heroes by helping one another. The picture is technically outstanding and includes some emotional moments. It's worth watching.

8. Bichagadu 2 Review: No Match to The First Part

Vijay Guru Moorthy (Vijay Antony), a rich businessman with a large commercial empire, is central to the plot. His love interest is Hema (Kavya Thapar). Aravind (Dev Gill), Vijay's close friend and business associate decides to do brain surgery on him so that he can do anything he wants.

Greatandhra Reviews

They come upon Satya (Vijay Antony), a beggar who looks identical to Vijay and shares his brain tissues. They murder Satya and then implant his brain into Vijay's body. Will the new 'Vijay' follow Aravind's orders?

Details of the Movie

  • Name of the movie is "Bichagadu 2"
  • Banner by Vijay Antony Film Corporation
  • Cast include Vijay Antony, Kavya Thapar, Radha Ravi, Y G Mahendran, Mansoor Ali Khan, Hareesh Peradi, John Vijay, Dev Gill, Yogi Babu, and others
  • DOP by Om Narayan

  • Written and Direction by Vijay Antony
  • Producer is Fatima Antony
  • Released on the date of May 19, 2023

In Telugu, Tamil actor-director Vijay Antony's "Bichagadu" was a tremendous blockbuster. As a result, the sequel to "Bichagadu" has aroused a lot of excitement and hype. The second part is also here. Let us explore.

Artistes' Performances

Vijay Antony is considerable in both roles. In the position of a sophisticated businessman, he appears dapper. The other role of being a beggar should have be more effective. Among the other actors, Dev Gill is effective in a brief role. Radha Ravi is fantastic as a selfish chief minister. Kavya Thapar is in good role.

Technical Excellence

In addition to acting, Vijay Antony has done all of the essential work, including music, editing, writing, and directing. The tunes are not as catchy as in the original, but the photography is stunning. The production values are also outstanding.

Highlights

  • The intriguing first half is a highlight.
  • Interval thud
  • A couple of touching scenes

Drawback

  • The film's later part seem unconvincing.
  • blatant commercial narration
  • The climax

Analysis

The 2016 film "Bichagadu" is known for theme of mother's connection with her kid. The film's the main character who is a multimillionaire Vijay Antony, is advised to live like a beggar for a period in order to save his mother. The sequel, "Bichagadu 2," has an entirely different plot. A beggar briefly replaces a wealthy businessperson in this film, and the important element is the sister-brother sentiment. In contrast to the original film, this sequel begins as a thriller and is stunningly produced.

Greatandhra Reviews

The interval boom intrigues us as the villain's retribution, which usually takes place at the end of most films, takes place during the interval. The first half of the video looks to be a complete story, explaining the villain's plot to murder businessman Vijay and put a beggar in his place. The first part also includes the brother-sister connection and the punishment of the villains. So the interval has exicted our interest for the second half. However, "Bichagadu" falls flat here. If the second half was handled as skillfully as the first, this film would have reached new heights. On the other hand, Vijay Antony shifts gears and tries to depict himself as a "mass hero." As a result, we got big combat sequences, political lessons, and a hero who behaves altruistically in the manner of Rajinikanth or Shankar characters in the movies. There is also an unconvincing court scene. As a result, the film loses steam. The sister emotion sequences are similarly underwhelming. Overall, "Bichagadu 2" does not match the original, although it contains some interesting first-act moments and "commercial elements" that might appeal to the target audience. Regardless of the film's box business potential, the results are uneven, with a less convincing plot.
