Dhaakad Review

A brutal secret agent is the subject of Dhaakad. Agent Agni (Kangana Ranaut) was left an orphan after a killer killed her parents while she was a little child. She is then raised by a guy (Saswata Chatterjee), a member of the ITF, an organization in charge of maintaining the security of the whole country. Agni transforms into a tough agent, and her mission is to investigate a human trafficking ring in Budapest.

Dhaakad Review

According to the data she gathered, Rudraveer (Arjun Rampal) and his companion Rohini (Divya Dutta) are the organization behind this crime. Rudraveer is a shadowy figure who works out of the Sohagpur Coal Fields near Bhopal, India. Nobody has been able to provide proof of their involvement in flesh trafficking up to this point.

Rudraveer is wanted; therefore, Agni is dispatched to gather information. Since her parents passed away in India, Agni is initially apprehensive about traveling there. She continues, unaware that she will be up against the most challenging enemy of her career. On what happens afterward, the rest of the film is based.

The narrative of Razy Ghai, Chintan Gandhi, and Rinish Ravindra is formulaic. The script by Razy Ghai and Rajiv G Menon (with additional writing by Ritesh Shah) is a primary culprit. There are several unsolved problems and several logical areas for improvement in the written content. Heavy-duty and philosophical, Ritesh Shah's conversations fail to have the desired effect.

Rajneesh 'Razy' Ghai's directing is poor. He expertly filmed the movie. The product has a trendy appearance. A few sequences, such as Agni watching a wrestling match, Agni posing as a fashion designer to meet Rohini, etc., are beautifully done. However, because the soul is absent, most situations fall flat.

The movie has too much action, and several story aspects are taken from Hollywood movies. There needs to be more space for comedy or drama; thus, it doesn't provide a well-rounded, engaging experience. The major flaw of the director is his need for more audience explanations. The story turns unexpectedly towards the climax, but viewers never learn what caused it.

Dhaakad Review

When it comes to action sequences, Kangana Ranaut puts up a good performance and is an expert. However, she is let down by the storyline since the writers made her character one-dimensional. Arjun Rampal attempts to look cool but falls short. His conversations could be clearer to understand. In addition to having a scary appearance, Divya Dutta performs well.

Songs are unimpressive and not anything the average person would hum. Well-shot songs include "Namonishan" and the title tune. Although 'So Ja Re' is a cute song, it appears too much throughout the movie. The background music by Dhruv Ghanekar is exciting.

Analysis of the Script

The narrative of Razneesh Razy Ghai, Chintan Gandhi, and Rinish Ravindra illustrates why concentrating on just a few critical areas of a movie is never a good idea. We understand that action appears excellent, but it doesn't imply you should continue doing it and expect us to exclaim, "Waah! "How about action?"

The main character is on the exploration for retribution against her parents; there is also a child trafficking gang involved, and one senior cop is assisting the main character in carrying out her stated task.

Star Performance

Dhaakad Review

Physically, Kangana Ranaut wins the battle, but intellectually, she loses it since her character is so uninteresting when she isn't battling on screen.

The efforts of Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta were in vain. If all they did had been done for the appropriate movie, they might have received a lot of praise. Although Saswata Chatterjee has continued to help abandoned children (via Jagga Jasoos and now this), her effort was utterly ineffective.

Direction and Music

According to ancient Hollywood, if an actor is successful, chances are excellent that someone would eventually give them enough money to produce a genuinely awful movie. Rajneesh 'Razy' Ghai created a movie to celebrate Kangana as an actor, but it did so at the expense of a depressing story.

It was the ideal setting for composer Dhruv Ghanekar to express his passion for indo-western fusion, which he did in the most expert manner possible. Occasionally, some loud action scenes overshadow it.

Critic's Rating: 3 Star
