Panchayat Season 2 Review

In the Madhya Pradesh, village of Mahodiya in district Sehore, a real municipal office was used for filming the series. The capital of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal, is about 40 kilometres away from Sehore. About 10 kilometers separate Mahodiya's from the Sehore district headquarters. Anurag Saikia created the series' music and score, and Amitabh Singh Amit Kulkarni handled the cinematography and editing, respectively.

Panchayat had its Amazon Prime Video debut on April 3, 2020. Critics gave the series an overall favourable review, praising not just the performances of the main actors but also the scripting, directing, and other crucial technical aspects. They also praised TVF and its creators for choosing to base the show in a rural community as opposed to earlier works, which were mainly set in urban settings. At the first Filmfare OTT Awards ceremony, the series took home the trophy in every Comedy Series category excluding Best Actress. The show received nominations for Best Original Story, Screenplay, Dialogues for Chandan Kumar, but it was unsuccessful in winning any of these awards.

On May 20, 2022, the television show's second season was supposed to premiere. However, two days before the release date, all of the episodes were made accessible. Abhishek is shown in this season becoming more interested in local politics and happenings while also studying for the CAT exam. The show will return for a third season. The series follows the adventures of a recent metropolitan engineering graduate who, unaccustomed to village life, accepts a low-paying job as a Gramme Panchayat Secretary in the far-flung Uttar Pradesh village of Phulera. Only Prime subscribers can access the series. On May 9, 2022, Amazon Prime debuted its trailer.

Hindustan Times

If you anticipated Panchayat 2 to be a typical light-hearted comedy of the kind that has been a staple of Indian television for years, be prepared to be disabused of that notion. This slice-of-life dramedy, which stars Jitendra Kumar, debuted its second season on May 18. And this time, in addition to making you laugh, the performance pushes you to reflect, be introspective, and ultimately, keep your tears back. It is a fine show, though by no means exceptional. Panchayat 2 is made into a must-watch by the strong performances of its actors and the slick writing.

Times of India

Returning to Abhishek Tripathi's life as the Pancha secretary of Phulera, you'll find entitled and haughty locals, an insufficient office space, and a silly assistant you can never rely on to execute a task well. This is pretty much the show's calling card, as anyone who saw and liked the first season of this incredibly relatable comedy-drama knows. And where the first season left off, the second one picks up immediately. There hasn't been much change. And we're used to that as Phulera is full of folks who aren't particularly accepting of change or people who can bring about the change. "Panchayat 2" continues to dispense innocent stories about ordinary rural life while once more highlighting the protagonists' rebellious nature. It's a world unto itself, mostly insulated from the craziness of social media fads, international problems, and even more significant state or national politics. Ironically, the story takes place in Uttar Pradesh, which is India's largest state and has a big impact on the political climate of the nation. And perhaps because of this, for those eight episodes that remain, we are taken back in time to a simpler time when a government office's only source of water was a rickety hand pump. Its security camera is used to search for missing goats along with chappals. This is perhaps the thing that makes life in Phulera so charming and exciting. Even though it's completely innocuous, the inhabitants depend on it to survive.

Panchayat Season 2 Review

Panchayat ushers in a new era for Indian comedy shows by being heartfelt, considerate, and truthful

In the rural setting of Panchayat, an engineering graduate accepts a position as the local panchayat chief's secretary due to a lack of better work prospects. The subsequent events introduce Abhishek for the first time to the way of life, speech, and people on the other side of India, bringing him one step closer to experiencing life. TVF has a reputation for bringing alternative tales into the mainstream. With Kota Factory, they managed to do it once more and produce a village comedy free of harsh stereotypical gags and forced situational humor. The characters themselves also contribute to the comedy and light-hearted relief, and as you start to identify with them, their interactions are what move the program ahead. With their hilarious timings and naive attitude to the lives and problems of Abhishek, who is once again performed superbly by the great Jitendra Kumar, Chandan Roy as Vikas Faisal Malik as Prahlad produce ground-breaking performances.

Simplicity with Grace

The Panchayat's straightforward yet elegant leadership is its USP. The rural life of our nation and its residents are appropriately shown and reflected here, in contrast to Bollywood's harsh and false generalizations. Nothing is over the top, nor does it need to be; the writing has a solid foundation and a rich world-building, so there is no need to "showboat."

Choose any of your favourite characters?Prahlad, Vikas, Pradhan Ji, or even Abhishek, who is the main protagonist?and you'll find that they are all incredibly down-to-earth and unpretentious. The character development that properly materializes will offer you the capacity to form connections with others and develop empathy for them before you even realize it. And possibly as a result of this precise rootedness as well as, of course, their outstanding performances, all these many individualities unintentionally become even more relatable.

You'll fall in love with real India thanks to a fantastic performance and captivating plot

India is separated into two different parts: urban India, which has incorporated some aspects of Western culture, and rural India, that still upholds tradition, culture, authenticity. If you appreciate seeing a village story, Panchayat is the right dosage for you. The basic issues of the village are once again revealed in Panchayat, a novel about an engineering graduate who takes a job at a panchayat office in the tiny village of Phulera within Uttar Pradesh's Bilai district. These issues include regular power outages, a disorganized workplace, dowry, family planning, among others. The action he took to raise the standard of living in the village comes next.

S3 has a lot of space to grow after Season 2
