Review

'Pachuvum Athubutha Vilakkum' is a heartwarming movie that inspires empathy, tragedy, and smiles. The movie might have been better if it hadn't dragged on for so long and stuck to the core plot instead of introducing the love element.

Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum Review

Prakashan, often known as Pachu to his family, is portrayed by Fahadh Faasil as a pleasant business owner of an ayurvedic pharmacy in Mumbai. He spends a few days in Kerala to restock his inventory and update the franchise agreement for his business. He is also taken to see a girl to fix his marriage. When Prakashan has a minor household incident that causes his journey to be delayed, his affluent and influential Mumbai tenant Riyas, played by Vineeth, calls in a favor and asks Prakashan if he could accompany his mother, who is taking a train to Mumbai. Riyas's mother leaves the train during the journey in the middle of the night in Goa, and Prakashan also gets off the train and manages to track her down.

Riyas travels to Goa to pick up his mother after learning of her plans and brings her back home. As the entire group gets ready to take a flight back to Mumbai, Riyas' mother tells Prakashan why she went to Goa and pledges that if he supports her with what she seeks, she will let Prakashan occupy the shop space. Prakashan is tempted by this promising offer and sets out on a journey that leads him to compassion and love in the end.

Riyas strikes a balance between having a harsh, strong side and a soft, tender side. Prakashan's failure to tell Dhwani, played by Anjana Jayaprakash, the truth also fails to do his character, who is mainly seen as an honest man who tries to learn from his mistakes, any favors. Dhwani helps him when he is in need. Viji Venkatesh portrays a mature lady in a significant part, which is one of the film's most refreshing aspects. Anjana and Fahadh do well in their respective parts. Although there is little to say about the movie's technical features, the cinematographer, Sharan Velayudhan, and the director-editor, Akhil Sathyan, who also authored the script, do an excellent job in their respective capacities.

Additionally, Justin Prabhakaran's song has a lovely sound. Vivek Ranjit's subtitles, sometimes disregarded in Malayalam movies, are one component that merits special note.

Conclusion

'Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum' is a good option for anyone looking for a laid-back viewing experience this weekend. The only way to know for sure is to see it and check whether it makes an impression. The feel-good vibe of the movie helps it get on the list of good Malayalam movies to watch.
