Wanted PanduGod review

Introduction

'Wanted PanduGod' is an Indian Tamil-language movie of the comedy genre that was released on August 19, 2022. The movie is directed by Sreedhar Seepana and features Sunil, Sudigali Sudheer, and Deepika Pilli in lead roles.

Story

'Wanted PanduGod' is a movie that consists of a tale of a man named Pandu (Sunil), who escaped from prison and for whom the police department offered a reward of one crore. After a few groups learned of the reward and began looking for Pandu, Sudigali Sudheer and Deepika Pilli, who work as reporters and are tasked with keeping up with all of these dramas, finally find Pandu, which is what comprises the remainder of the tale.

Performances

The movie's male and female leads are respectively portrayed by aspiring actors and comedians. Despite being given a role in a duet with Vishnupriya in the second half of the movie, Vennela Kishore does his tasks as necessary. The same is true of Saptagiri. As journalists, Deepika Palli and Sudigali Sudheer partake in ludicrous humour and are given music to dance to. Anasuya first appears as a young indigenous woman before performing an action stunt while dressed in shorts. She also makes a cameo as a typical Raghavendra Rao heroine in a song. A different song features comedian Srinivas Reddy dancing with a heroine as a twist. It is apparent that Brahmanandam is a physician.

Analysis

Even though Sreedhar Seepana is the show's official director, every episode of 'Wanted PanduGod' shows the "stamp" of legendary filmmaker K Raghavendra Rao, from dated comedy scenes to the picturization of songs. Despite the fact that Janardhan Maharshi claimed to have written the tale and the script, neither are found in the finished work. A mishmash of musical and comic sequences is shown. The actors, who are all men, put on absurd skits. Every single female actor either moves to the music or flashes her thunder thighs. According to Sreedhar Seepana, Raghavendra Rao, and Janardhan Maharshi, the definitions of "comedy" and "glamour" are as shown in the movie. The film begins with Sunil's "Pandugod" escaping from jail before cutting to a TV program discussing him. We are suddenly privy to the love tales of Saptagiri and Nithya Shetty, Srinivasa Reddy, and the new girl, and Sudigali Sudheer and Deepika Palli.

Wanted PanduGod review

On the other hand, comedy skits by comedian Prudhvi, action stunts in the forest by actor Anasuya, Brahmanandam's medical office, Shakalaka Shankar's skits, Tanikella Bharani, and Aamani in their roles as director and heroine continue to arrive. Even recently hired directors can direct more compellingly than Sreedhar did here, and even high school students can write better than Janardhan Maharshi's story. Although, it would not be wrong to say that the result is not at all promising. The dated Raghavendra Rao's mark of songs adds to the patient's stress. It is safe to say that the entire film can be graded as embarrassing.

The comic and romantic scenes might have been successful fifty years ago. While we rejoice that Telugu films have gone beyond India and that people all over the world praise our films, we are also treated to such a nonsensical piece of filmmaking. We simply feel sorry for the performers who must play these parts.

Cast Crew

The main actors hired in this movie are Sunil, Mrs. Anasuya, Vennela Kishore, Saptagiri, Srinivas Reddy, Sudigali Sudheer, Deepika Pilli, Dr. Brahmanandam, Raghu Babu, Ananth, Pushpa Jagdeesh, Nitya Shetty, Vasanthi, Vishnupriya, Hema, Shakalaka Shankar, Tanikella Bharani, and Aamani, Prudhvi. Cinematography is done by Mahi Reddy Pandugula, music is composed by PR, and the film is produced by Sai Baba Kovela Mudi under the banner of United K Productions.

Conclusion

The movie successfully combines confusing drama, non-sinc humor, and some other elements, but for the big screen, only a compelling narrative will do. The entire time someone would watch 'Wanted PanduGod', they would not feel like they are watching a movie; not a single scene would hold the audience's attention. Of course, the film will hold the attention of those who enjoy TV skits, and if we stick with this theme, there are many humorous moments.

When watching 'Wanted PanduGod', some Bollywood films like Dhamaal and Golmaal come to mind, but those were older films that relied on non-sinister humor, which isn't appropriate today. Additionally, all of the actors, who are all fairly well-known in the television industry, have surrendered to Raghavendra Rao, which is admirable, but it makes it uncomfortable to watch romantic songs because we have seen him capture the beauty of talented actors.
